College Student Creates Mini-Bedroom For Dog In Her Closet

When you have a dog in your family, you quickly realize that they are more than just an animal, they are a full-fledged member of the family. We will often go out of our way to ensure that they are more than comfortable, we want them to be happy for life. We might even find that we are doing some unusual things to ensure that they are as happy as possible. That is what happened in the story.

If you are looking for a story that is going to put a smile on your face, this tale of a college student and her Chihuahua is going to do it in great measure. She wanted to do something great for him and she wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. The problem was, she only had a small apartment but then she got creative. She turned an unused closet in that apartment into a bedroom for her little furry friend.

Betsy Redfern has had Cupid, her Chihuahua since she was in the third grade. They have been inseparable for over 12 years so when Betsy went away to college, Cupid came along with her.

Betsy didn’t want to Cupid to feel left out in the new apartment. That is when she got creative and used an old doll bed and some bedding she made by hand to give him his own little space. She also made some space for her turtle, Caru.

Cupid’s outfits hang nearby inside of his own room.

Betsy decorated a little Christmas tree so that he could have some holiday cheer. Holidays can make use homesick but we’re sure that Betsy and Cupid got through it just fine.

The room may be tiny but it’s got a lot of love in it.
