It doesn’t take long after we bring a dog into our home that we realize they are some of the most special creatures we could ever have around. They become a part of our family in a way that we may never have even thought possible before. When we have a difficult day, we look forward to coming home because we know our faithful dog is going to be there, wagging their tail and showing us all of the unconditional love that we could possibly ever hope for. There is also something else that we realize about our dogs, and that’s the fact that they miss us when we are gone.
When it comes to missing family members, I think that Stanley is probably near the top of the list. He is an adorable dog that loves his family very much, but his mother has to go to work. He wanted her to stay home and even begged her to stay, but she wouldn’t call in sick so he was stuck home with dad all day long. While his father was taking a nap, Stanley went into the kitchen and made a phone call to his mother at work. He just wanted to let her know how much he missed her. Of course, dad was really there and he caught the whole thing on video.
You can tell that this wasn’t the first time Stanley wanted to talk to his mom on the phone. It only took a little prompting and mom was asking Stanley what was up! As soon as Stanley hears her voice, you can tell that the emotion was welling up within him. He then lets her have it with both barrels, letting her know exactly how he feels about her being away.
Stanley was really pouring his heart out to her on the phone and they go back and forth with the conversation for a while. Eventually, the mother had to get back to work again, so she called out: “Bye-bye! Be a good boy!” Stanley realizes the call was over so he walked out.
