Meet Freddie, The 7-Foot-Tall Great Dance That Is The ‘Tallest Dog’ In The World

If you have a dog in your life, you realize how big of an impact they can have on your lifestyle. Many of us appreciate the fact that they are there for us through thick and thin and when we walk in the door after a difficult day, we can expect to be greeted by a wagging tail. As it turns out, dogs not only have a big impact on us in a mental way, they can even impact us physically in a large way as well. That is especially true when the dog is humongous.

I’d like to introduce you to Freddie the Great Dane. Now that he has the title of the tallest dog in the world, he is getting a lot of attention. Claire Stoneman wanted a big dog but she wasn’t quite ready to get a 7’6″ tall great Dane. The average adult great Dane male stands 33 inches tall at the shoulders and weighs 190 pounds. She knew she was getting a big dog but Freddie is more than she bargained for.

Now that Freddie has grown up, he is being recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as being the tallest dog in the world. He even has a certificate.

Freddie is just over 200 pounds and is 2 foot taller than his owner, Claire when he stands on his hind legs. She loves her furry friend and, even though he is bigger than she thought he would be, she wouldn’t have it any other way. She even treats him special, and her grocery bill is over $15,000 every year to prove it.

That being said, she knows that Freddie is worth every penny. The younger version of this dog would chew up sofas but today he just enjoys eating dog food and taking a nap.

Claire even forgoes some of her own sleep to make sure that Freddie has his regular walks in. Since he is so large, he needs to go for walks in the early morning hours when other dogs are still sleeping with their owners.

If Freddie would decide that one of the smaller dogs looked interesting, Claire could not hold him back from doing so.

You might be interested in knowing what Freddie is doing these days. He is doing the same thing as other dogs, sleeping, eating and enjoying life. He is also enjoying his new world record title from Guinness world records. He also has his own Facebook page, in case you are interested.

The Facebook page gets updated on a regular basis with new pictures, videos and updates on what Freddie is doing. Other fans of the dog also share pictures of their own pups.
