When you think of the rock band Queen, what is it that instantly comes to your mind? When it comes to music, they really have put together some of the most famous songs of all time. It wasn’t just a matter of Freddie Mercury standing out front and singing away, the entire rock band had a unique sound that made them famous. If you’ve ever heard a video put together where they remove all of the musical instruments so that you only hear their voices, it’s absolutely incredible how they harmonize. I’m sure that most people thought that the harmony was going to die along with Freddie Mercury but in reality, it was only getting started.
It’s unfortunate that Freddie Mercury passed away because he really was one of the best parts about the rock band. That isn’t taking anything away from Brian May and the other members of the band who are still rocking down to this day. What they really needed was somebody to stand up on the stage and sing, just like Freddie Mercury. They didn’t need a replacement for Freddie Mercury, however, they needed somebody with the unique sound that would be able to carry the brand to the next level. That is what they found in Adam Lambert and it was as if he was born to perform with Queen.
We probably already have the song, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, rolling around in our head just because we thought of Queen. That may be one of their more famous songs but there are plenty of other songs that they are known for, including “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions”.
What Adam Lambert and Queen did on the stage at the Oscars in 2019 was beyond incredible. They performed those two songs in a way that would’ve made Freddie Mercury proud! I’m sure that you will love it and it will help to build your appreciation for this rock band that just refuses to go away.
