Ellen Loses It On Live TV When An 88-Year-Old Fan Lets Something Slip

There are many funny people in the world but sometimes, being amusing comes along with experience. I’m talking about seniors and I know a few who are the funniest people I have ever met. It may be because they have had a long enough life that they can build up some amusing experiences or it might just be their wisdom and the perspective that they have on life in general. It doesn’t really matter why they are funny, however, the fact that they can make us laugh is well appreciated.

It seems as if I’m not the only one that appreciates the humor seniors bring to the table. Ellen DeGeneres is also an individual who appreciates a good joke from a senior citizen as well. In fact, she couldn’t contain her laughter when she was talking on the phone with an 88-year-old fan of hers. It is a phone call that we are happy was recorded because it helps us to laugh as well.

This clip has been around for a while but it is one of those that just continues to get funnier, each and every time you hear it. Ellen really puts together a memory and this unforgettable conversation is sure to be your favorite experience that she ever shared with anyone. She called up the woman while they were live on the air and before long, she had the audience laughing out loud. The 88-year-old woman is Gladys Hardy and her attitude and comebacks soon have Ellen doubled over with laughter.

It’s not only her discussion but it is the personality that really makes a difference. When she makes a confession to Ellen, the audience erupts with laughter. She says “Listen, I’ll be honest with you. I love Jesus but I drink a little.” By the time Ellen hangs up the phone, she has tears streaming down her face.
