If you take the time to watch the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, you are never going to be disappointed. Due to social distancing and the desire to self isolate, he is now doing the show from his home with his wife shooting the video. He still talks to celebrity guest stars and does some skits but it is all done at a distance. That wasn’t always the case, however, and it wasn’t all that long ago that we were being entertained by every celebrity he brought into the studio. This included one celebrity, and it is somebody that I think everybody recognizes instantly.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was the celebrity guest star on hand for the show that you see in the video at the bottom of this article. We’ve seen him on the show before and they have done a lip-synch battle and a number of other skits. The Rock is always somebody who is a good egg when it comes to taking part in these and he isn’t afraid to laugh at himself. In this skit, however, things get heated up a little because they are in a phone booth and someone is calling in to ask them trivia questions. If they get that question right, then everything stays the same but if they get it wrong, a random mystery guest goes into the phone booth with them. They continue to do it until the phone booth is packed full.
The Rock ends up with a youngster in the phone booth with him and it’s a good thing, because he gets a science question that the child is able to answer. Jimmy Fallon, on the other hand, ends up with a phone booth full of mystery guests to the point where he is not able to contain them all.
The questions are interesting but the answers are sometimes even more interesting. As you watch this skit, you will have a good laugh and that is something that all of us could use today. It’s a blast from the past that is worth watching over and over again.
