Keanu Reeves Has Been Secretly Funding Children’s Hospitals And Now We Love Him Even More

If you have been around for any length of time, you have probably seen your fair share of movies that include Keanu Reeves. He has been a well-known movie star for quite some time but he has also earned another reputation, and that is of being the most generous star in Hollywood. Many people even consider him to be a hero and it seems as if he has earned that reputation.

You often hear good reports about Reeves, including this one that comes from a Reddit user who was apparently on the set of Chain Reaction, which starred Morgan Freeman and Keanu Reeves: “EVERY DAY for the last few weeks of filming, Keanu treated the stagehands and “grunt workers” (including myself) by taking us out for free breakfast and lunch. He was a genuinely a very nice guy to work with.”

The special-effects crew that worked on The Matrix was the recipient of his kindness when he bought them Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It was also reported that he drove a woman 50 miles after her car broke down.

Although he lives the celebrity life, his personal life has seen a fair share of tragedy. His best friend, River Phoenix died and the ‘love of his life’ died after battling with cancer for quite some time. His first child was also miscarried.

The actor may do many things behind the scenes but he doesn’t like to receive a lot of fanfare for it.

He gave an interview in 2009 with Ladies Home Journal and he accidentally revealed that a foundation was started in the early 2000s. His name isn’t attached to it but it is responsible for funding cancer research and children’s hospitals.

“I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research. I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does.”

It’s nice to see a celebrity who does something behind the scenes to help. It would be nice if he allowed people to celebrate his kindness out in the open but for now, we have to be happy with understanding that he is a genuinely good person.
