Pizza Restaurant Leaves Note To Homeless Man Digging Through Their Dumpster

It doesn’t matter where you are in the United States, you are going to see a problem with homelessness. It used to confine itself to the inner cities but today, you’ll find it in many rural areas as well. Hundreds of thousands of people in the United States struggle with hunger as well and they may not know where their next meal will come from. The combination of the two can be devastating and far too many families are living in this situation.

That is why employees at one Little Caesars restaurant decided to do something when they found a homeless man rummaging through their garbage. It was a frustrating situation because he would come in at night after they had already locked up. They didn’t call the police or kick the man off of the property, they actually did something quite fantastic for him.

Employees at the Little Caesars pizza chain regularly interacted with the homeless man. He would approach the garbage bin when he thought that he was alone, look for some food scraps and take anything he could find. When somebody from the restaurant would try to approach him with something to eat, he would run off embarrassed.

This went on for months until the employees left a note in their window.

“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge.

No questions asked.”

They really didn’t have anything they could offer to him but they felt that he deserved more than scraps out of a garbage bin. Now he can eat every meal in peace if he chooses to take advantage of it.

As it turns out, this is not the only thing that this little Caesars does to help feed those in need.

When the end of the night approaches, the employees gather the leftovers and deliver them to local homeless shelters. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if more people did things like this?
