People Suddenly Stop When They Hear Subway Singer Belting Out ‘Unchained Melody’

There is an unspoken rule when you are traveling on the subway. You try not to notice anything that is going on around you and if something unusual happens, you don’t look in that direction. This is often the case as New York commuters make their way home after a long day at work. Every once in a while, however, they may hear something that captures their attention and they can’t help but look.

The locals who ride the subway regularly are accustomed to seeing various street performers who make the subway their platform. There is also one particular performer, however, that has a voice which is becoming quite recognizable. Rather than people just walking by him while he is singing, they are compelled to stop and listen for a while.

As strangers passed by, they are captivated by the voice they are hearing. He is swaying back and forth with two musicians playing softly in the background.

The subway singer is belting out a stunning rendition of ‘Unchained Melody’. Rather than hustling to get to their next stop, they relax for a moment and allow themselves to enjoy the music. There is no doubt that he has an impressive voice and people turn to look at him as soon as they hear him singing.

There is so much passion in his voice that it moves people in various ways. Listening to it on this video gives me chills so I can only imagine what they felt as they were standing there watching it in person.

They may have been an impromptu video, but it has gone viral and touched many people. Since being posted, it has been viewed many millions of times. It ended up making Mike Yung a well-known name.

He had been performing in the New York subways for 37 years. Finally, he had an opportunity to be on America’s Got Talent and he made it to the semi-final rounds.

The judges and fans all loved his voice and he didn’t beat around the bush when giving any interviews. Something that many people don’t know about Mike is that he was signed to a label by Teddy Vann, a well-known producer. Teddy’s company folded before Mike could record an album, so he took his talent to the subway system.
