School Officer Makes Eye Contact Then Grabs Teen Before It’s Too Late

If there is one thing that most of us recognize about life, it’s the fact that it is getting exceedingly busy. It seems as if we are running from one project to another and we rarely ever have the time needed to get everything done. We might even try multitasking, but it rarely ever works out as well as we hope it would. When you are in school, you understand how busy you can be because you are on a tight schedule and you have to manage more things than one at any given time.

Sometimes, you may find that you are doing quite well but at other times, you may struggle to get things done during the day. It’s always a good idea if you have someone who can watch your back, and that was the case for a high school student at Pascack Hills High School. She is 18 years old and was multitasking to get her day completed but something went wrong.

As Sarah Bazzini was trying to get to class, she was eating some French fries and rushing down the hallway. She only had a few minutes to get to class but she also wanted to finish her lunch.

A French fry got into her throat and clogged her airway. She was trying to remove it but wasn’t able. She even tried to wash it down with her drink but it didn’t work. Now she was losing her breath and she knew it wouldn’t be long before she suffocated.

That is when she saw the school law enforcement officer. He took a look at her and knew something wasn’t right. She was stumbling a little and he saw that she couldn’t breathe. She was slowing down and gagging.

Ofc. Roger Caron was following her and when he saw the color draining from her face, he knew that it was serious. That is when Sarah pointed at her throat to let him know she was choking.

Caron didn’t hesitate. He turned her around, wrapped his arms around her chest and started pulling hard. The rush of air from her lungs pushed the French fry free and after it dislodged, she was able to breathe again.

Children in the hallway were watching as he saved the highschooler’s life. When the fry came out, Sarah thanked him and let him know that she will think of him as being a hero. He really didn’t think much of it but they have become friends.

Sarah thanks the kind officer every chance she can. He was there when she needed him and she isn’t going to forget it. She even thought about what she was going to do in college, and it is now a police officer. She also wants to save somebody’s life when they are in need too.

The officer received commendation for his lifesaving act from a worldwide audience online. The story was shared and people were calling him a hero but he says that anybody would’ve done the same thing.
