She Dropped 126 Pounds After Divorcing Her Husband And She Will Not Take Him Back

When was the last time you tried to drop a few pounds? If you’re like most of us, it is probably an ongoing battle and you struggle with it on a day by day basis. In fact, I have tried to quit losing weight so many times that I consider myself to be an expert in the field. It is unfortunate but true and sometimes, you just need a little bit of inspiration. It is an inspiration that we got from this woman and when you hear how she lost the weight and why she did it, you may just drop a few pounds yourself.

Her name is Lisseth Exposito and she is a 25-year-old woman from Northfleet, Kent. Recently, she became well-known because of something that she did that made a real impact on her life. It seems as if she had lost her partner in life because he had been unfaithful to her. We can all probably think back to a time when somebody betrayed our trust and just how much it hurt us. When those types of difficult situations occur, many of us will reach for comfort food. She did the opposite.

When this young woman was on her first pregnancy and married to her husband, José, she started gaining a lot of weight. She dined at McDonald’s, English breakfast and other unhealthy food choices. José didn’t gain weight but she gained it quickly and he started withholding affection and became emotionally abusive. He began calling her fat that left her stressed-out and depressed.

“I’d catch Jose looking at me in disgust. As I ate my dinner on the sofa, I’d hear him mutter ‘fat girl,’ as crumbs bounced off my belly,” Lisseth noted in her interview with the Daily Mail. “It started with little digs, but soon it was cruel jibes. I was desperate to be the curvaceous hourglass girl he had fallen for, but I had no willpower or self-esteem to diet.” She also continued to say, “Jose wouldn’t show me any affection and food became even more of a friend,” she said. “The words made my stomach flip and I hit an all-time low. Food became the only thing to give me a moment of happiness. I was eating around 4,000 calories a day.”

It wasn’t long before she found text messages to another woman and she confronted him about it. He blamed her weight for the infidelity.

“I got hold of his phone and found myself scrolling through texts, and hundreds of incriminating texts littered his inbox. I felt disgusted, but something changed in me. When his key turned in the door that evening I pounced and told him what I’d found,” she continued to say to the Daily Mail. “He didn’t deny it and told me it was my fault as I was so fat. He told me I’d always be ugly. I was devastated, but determined. This man would never hurt me again.”

She filed for divorce and began her life fresh. Her doctors wanted her to have gastric bypass but she thought she would do everything naturally. She changed her eating habits and the weight began to drop off.

Eventually, she lost 126 pounds.

And he tried to get back with her.

“Every weekend, Jose would pick up Lissmar and do a double take as he looked at me. Then one Friday he told me I was looking hot,” she said. “I closed the door on him. I would never let him back in my life. I am a role model to my daughter and I proved him wrong.”

Her transformation has bought her a new life. She now lives free from the emotional abuse and is healthier than she has been a very long time. We applaud her determination and her decision to be a role model for her daughter.
