Struggling Lunch Lady Has Breakdown When Her Boss Lies About An ‘Emergency Shift’

They sometimes say that it takes a village to raise a child. When we stop to think about all of the people who have had an impact on our lives or the lives of our children, we begin to realize there is a lot of truth behind that statement. That is especially true when it comes to the school system. We all realize that it is the parent’s responsibility to raise the child but they also spend a tremendous amount of time at school. Sometimes, it is the people they interact with at school that have the greatest impact.

Cheryl Stewart is one of those individuals who works in the school system at the Teton High School in Idaho. She is not a teacher or the principal, she is responsible for taking care of the children with nutritious lunches and she loves what she does. Cheryl has been faithful to her job and the children interact with her daily but many may not know that there is something going on behind the scenes that has impacted her in a terrible way. When you hear about the streak of bad luck they have had, it is sure to touch your heart.

Cheryl is a cancer survivor but now, she is busy supporting her husband. He is fighting his own battle with prostate cancer and lupus and it has been slow going. As you can imagine, it has had an impact on the family because she is now responsible for the family finances. In an effort to make ends meet, she has taken on some cleaning jobs and bakes rolls for the funerals that take place in the valley. It is a matter of working from morning till night and it has been stressful.

The situation was made even worse when her car had problems. The engine broke down and she couldn’t afford to fix it so she was borrowing her parent’s car to get back and forth to the jobs.

Cheryl is also having surgery on her foot and she is having it done over winter break so she doesn’t miss any work.

In the middle of all of this, her boss called her in for an ’emergency’ shift. When she got there, however, a man with a microphone was there to greet her. She then walked through the school hall, viably shaken.

Wait till you see what they have in store for her. The surprise can be seen in this video:
