Teacher Snaps Quick Picture At McDonald’s And Tells Man “You’re Going Viral”

When a group of teachers was having a gathering at McDonald’s in Noblesville, Indiana, Amanda Craft was there with them. She is a teacher and thought she was having a fairly normal day. She really didn’t expect anything unusual to take place. What ended up happening is that they overheard a conversation between a young man and an elderly woman. The differences between the two got their attention but after hearing what was said, Amanda realized that she had to do something.

What she ended up doing was taking a picture of the pair, paying careful attention to the young man. He would later be identified as Eric Haralson. Amanda ended up leaving the restaurant but before she did, she told him: “I hope you know, you’re going to go viral.” As it turns out, she was right.

Amanda posted the picture to social media that evening and discussed the entire story. She started by saying that the elderly woman seemed to be lonely and she went up to Eric to ask if she could sit with him.

“Without hesitation, this guy said, ‘of course,’” Amanda said.

She continued: “Shout out to this guy! My friends and I watched him introduce himself and shake her hand. They talked and laughed together like they were friends. They didn’t know each other, and they couldn’t be more different. But, today, they shared a meal together and it touched our hearts.”

It didn’t really surprise anyone that Amanda was thrilled that Eric took action. It wasn’t long before he and Jan, his companion, were Internet sensations.

Eric said: “She said she just wanted a little conversation, because no one likes to eat alone.”

He saved a place for her and they struck up a friendship.

In the end, they exchanged phone numbers and plan to meet up again to have more talks with each other.
