Some people have a job that they go to every day and they feel as if their life really has no meaning. For firefighters, however, every day is more than a day at work, it is a profession that is full of virtue. They are available when we need assistance if we are in an emergency situation and they will go above and beyond what it comes to getting the job done. That is clearly seen in the Australian Firefighters Calendar. Those firefighters are willing to go the extra mile and they do so for a great cause.
The Australian Firefighters Calendar has been around since 1993. The calendar project supports various charities, including the Children’s Hospital Foundation. In 2019, it took 17 days to photograph all of the pictures and to put together the final images that created the iconic calendar for people worldwide. This year, there is a unique addition to the calendar, cats!
Last year, the calendar hit viral status on Facebook when the Australian firefighters were posing with kittens. The response was overwhelming, to say the least, so in 2019, the pictures were expanded to include cats. It is appropriate, therefore, that the Australian Firefighters Calendar will be donating to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital this year. Enjoy the pictures:
