7 People Drink Hand Sanitizer At A Party And Die From The Experience

Have you noticed how the pandemic has changed our lives? Most people would say it is fairly obvious, because we are staying in more now and many people have been affected financially or even physically from the craziness taking place. There are also some things that are happening under the surface that are not as easy to recognize. One of those factors is that many people are now getting tired of being locked in and suffering from a little bit of ‘pandemic fatigue’. In order to get beyond it, people will do almost anything and at times, they may just ignore all of the safety suggestions.

Although some people may go over the limit and suffer a little, there are seven people who had paid the ultimate price after doing the unthinkable at a party. It happened in Russia, and they ran out of alcohol at the party so somebody got the bright idea that they would drink hand sanitizer. According to the reports, nine people started drinking antiseptic wash, which is almost 70% methanol. As a result, seven people died. This includes a 41-year-old woman, and two men aged 27 and 59. They were the first to go.

The other six who drank the hand sanitizer were flown to a hospital via a medical evac. They were sent to a hospital in the city of Yakutsk and were admitted to the hospital to see if they could do anything for them. Unfortunately, four of those six individuals did not survive and the other two are not doing very well and are trying to say alive at this point.

According to the regional state prosecutor, “The poisoning took place as a result of drinking sanitizer.” Unbelievably, they have to put a warning out about people not drinking and sanitizer if they want an alcoholic beverage. It seems like common sense to most but apparently, it felt like the right thing to do at a party and it had tragic consequences.
