Hugh Jackman Wants Greatest Showman Sequel And We Are So Ready For It

There are been many fantastic movies over the years but every once in a while, there is a movie that seems to pull everything together and bring it to you on a single screen. That is the case with The Greatest Showman, a movie that has captivated the hearts of people around the world. When you really look at the movie, it is not only the characters, it is the costumes, the music, and the actual show. It is also Hugh Jackman, and he is putting something out there that is giving lovers of this movie hope.

Hugh Jackman has suggested that a sequel to The Greatest Showman may be in the works and people couldn’t be more thrilled. The soundtrack to the original show was a hit and the lineup of actors and actresses in the cast were worth seeing on their own. That isn’t even to mention the fact that the story was based on fact rather than fiction. If you’re concerned about the sequel being a little short on material, there was plenty of the first movie to allow for a second. The only question that we have at this point is, will Hugh Jackman be wearing the top hat?

Here is the preview to the original The Greatest Showman:

Believe it or not, people were not that excited when it first came out but after a few weeks, it started to pick up some serious steam. At first, there were some bad reviews but in the end, it grossed over $434 million. It is the fifth highest grossing live-action musical of our time.

People are in love with soundtrack:

Phineas Taylor Barnum was more than a businessman, he was an actual showman. He promoted hoaxes and hosted a variety of shows in order to get his start. He was always going after the money and some people even think that he was responsible for the phrase ‘there’s a sucker born every minute’. That again, the real phrase was ‘there’s a customer born every minute’ and that is an absolute truth.

In the first film, PT Barnum is following his quest for fame. He collects unusual humans and puts them on the show for the world to see. Some people thought that it was in bad taste and perhaps a bit dishonorable to show humans in this light. He was able to use advertising, however, to make an absolute fortune.

PT Barnum was played by Hugh Jackman and he says that there is a possibility of a sequel. His words were: “If a genuine opportunity came up where it felt like the right thing to do, then yep, I’d get the top hat back out”

Is a sequel actually going to happen? We’ll have to wait and see but we are looking forward to the possibility!
