Justin Timberlake Confirmed The Trolls Sequel And We Couldn’t Be More Excited

There are certain movies that are bound for greatness and others that may be more of a surprise hit. Those that we watch that really have an impact on us tend to be movies that we watch over and over again. Perhaps that is the case with your family when it comes to the movie, Trolls. It was a huge hit in 2019 and most of us were disappointed when it was finally out of the theater. Now we have something else to look forward to because it seems there is going to be a sequel to the movie.

We have all been subject to these types of rumors before but this seems to be more than hearsay. The news came out on Facebook when Justin Timberlake went to his own Facebook page and shared it with the world. Not only did he give us the news that the sequel was coming out, he also shared a sneak peek image of what we can expect. Trolls World Tour is going to be hitting the theaters sometime next year.

This movie is also produced by DreamWorks and it seems as if it is going to pick up right where the last one stopped:

“Continuing where the first film left off, it’s all glitter and happiness in Troll Town until Queen Poppy and Branch make a surprising discovery — there are other Troll worlds beyond their own, each defined by a different genre of music,” the Dreamworks description reads. “When a mysterious threat puts all the Trolls across the land in danger, Poppy, Branch, and their band of friends must embark on an epic quest through unfamiliar terrain to do the impossible: create harmony among the diverse Trolls to unite them against certain doom.”

Anna Kendrick will be joining Justin Timberlake in the sequel. She will play the part of Princess Poppy, James Corden as Biggie, Aino Jawo as Satin, Ron Funches as Cooper, and Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond. Kelly Clarkson is even going to be playing one of the new characters, Delta Don.

Some other stars to join the cast include Jamie Dornan and Anthony Ramose. You are also going to enjoy the soundtrack that should be full of one hit after another. There’s not much news about the soundtrack yet but it is said to be awesome.

It seems as if the music is going to be “cleverly woven into the narrative of the film as story-telling elements. The all-new installment of the franchise expands the series’ music genres, representing a variety of songs from pop, country, and hip-hop, to hard rock, funk, K-pop and EDM – as well as everything in between.”

This promises to be a good movie for children of all ages and grown-ups are going to enjoy it as well. The same minds who put together Shrek worked on this one, so how could it possibly be bad?
