Keith Urban Covers ‘To Love Somebody’ And Brings The Last Bee Gee, Barry Gibb To Tears

I think that all of us could probably say that we have a favorite type of music. We tend to lump it into one particular genre, such as country music, rock music, or perhaps even bluegrass music. Of course, I’m not necessarily here to say that one type of music is better than another, but I am here to say that all music is interesting in its own way. That is sometimes seen in the way that music will last for generations and it may even regain popularity, years after it was first written and sung.

I think that most of us are familiar with the music of the Bee Gees. Even if you don’t know them individually, you likely at least know the song ‘Stayin Alive’, although that is really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the songs that they performed. Unfortunately, the Bee Gees have passed away but Barry Gibb is still alive. He was able to attend the Grammy Awards in 2017 and saw a touching tribute to the Bee Gees. It was enough to bring the iconic singer to tears.

Keith Urban was also on hand during the 2017 Grammy awards and he stood on stage to sing ‘To Love Somebody’. As the only living member of the Bee Gees, Barry Gibb was in the audience and it was one of those moments that touched his heart. There was probably more to the moment that most people realize.

Barry Gibb has admitted that he didn’t always get along with his brothers and when they died, he wasn’t on the best terms with them. It didn’t all happen at once, but when they did pass away, it was during the moment when they were not getting along. Perhaps reflecting on this was why he shed a tear but then again, it may just be the power of music that all of us feel. Watch it for yourself in the following video:
