Officer Orders Woman To Pop The Trunk, Has No Clue That She Stands Behind Him Recording Everything

One of the most frustrating experiences we can have in life is being pulled over by the cops. From the moment that we see the blue lights flashing behind us, we automatically assume that the worst is about to take place. Sure enough, once we are pulled over and they come up to the window of our vehicle, the process is started that typically ends with us having to pay out money for a fine. As you are about to see, that is not always the case.

Chy-Niece was driving to a job interview when she had this experience. As she was driving, she suddenly saw blue lights behind her and within a moment, she realized they were wanting her to pull over. As you can imagine, she was already stressed out over the interview so having a cop pull her over just added to the stress. The strange thing was, she wasn’t driving fast and was using her turn signals. She had no idea why he would be pulling her over.

She had her license and registration ready when she rolled down her window. Little did she know that he had something else on his mind and when she shared it, it started spreading like crazy.

Officer Jenkins was not aggressive or threatening when he walked up to the window. He just calmly explained that she had a brake light out. It was stressful, but she didn’t have to worry about paying for the repair or shelling out money for a fine.

The police officer did something that really took her by surprise.

She shared her experience on Facebook:

“So this happened just now. I’m on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said…”

“Don’t worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know your brake lights are out”

“So I’m immediately upset because I just got them replaced last month. So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.”

“He looked at me (like he knew this was crazy) and told me to pop the trunk…”

“He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn’t come on. So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.”

“He could have easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role and into mechanic role to make sure I was straight.”

When we look at the world around us, we see many stressful events taking place. It is nice to have something nice happen because it can lift our spirits.

Take the time to show a little kindness in life. You really never know how far it will go.

We appreciate what Officer Jenkins did for Chy-Niece. He could have ruined her day but ended up making us smile instead.

She published the story on Facebook and it went viral with over 420k likes and 100k shares.

It’s always nice to read something nice.
