2020 has been one of those years that we will always remember, although it is one that most of us would like to forget. The quarantine has taken a significant toll on most of us, but all of the other issues we are faced during this year have piled on top of it. Even though we are living in quarantine, trying to be safe, and experiencing a disruption in our lives, it’s always nice to see something normal every once in a while. Although this may not be a page out of our book, it is a page out of a book that we love to see.
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dropped the bomb earlier this year and said they weren’t interested in being senior royals, they were basically dismissing themselves from Royal life. In doing so, they dropped out of the public eye and, although the media reported on them regularly, they didn’t have the attention that they had as a royal couple. When they left England, they moved to Canada and then they moved to LA. It was during the time that Los Angeles was shutting down because of the pandemic and they were not yet settled in.
Most recently, Megan and Harry moved to Santa Barbara, California. They chose a quaint, private community in the hopes that they would receive the respect of their neighbors and could live life as a family. Megan celebrated her work with her clothing line, The Smart Set, when it hit its first year in business recently. It benefits a charity, Smart Works, that provides women with the clothing necessary to get job interviews and get hired.
As she was taking part in the celebration, she had a video call with smart works. She was able to give them a small tour of her home, not on purpose but what you see in the background. Watch it for yourself below:
