When was the last time you were at a wedding? Was it a formal occasion or did they simply meet at the courthouse and tie the knot? The fact of the matter is, weddings come in all different shapes and sizes but at the end of the day, it is really about the new couple becoming a married couple. In most cases, they want to share that special day with family and friends and they may have planned the occasion for months or perhaps even years.
Planning the wedding in advance gives the couple an opportunity to show that they are creative and they really want everyone to have a good time. It also is a good indication as to what they are going to do with their personal lives once the smoke clears and everybody has gone home. There is often one special thing that goes into any wedding and for this couple, it was a special dance. You are about to share that moment with them.
Asia and Maciek had such a special event planned for their wedding. They wanted it to be unique and to show that they were quite compatible with each other. What they did was absolutely the best thing they could have done.
In a formal wedding, the bride will be dressed in a beautiful white dress with fancy shoes, plenty of flowers and have lots of nice jewelry. The groom will come down the aisle in a tuxedo and there seems to be a lot of formalities that need to be followed. That isn’t how this young married couple wanted to start their lives together. They wanted the focus to be on their first dance, not on clothing and the results speak for themselves.
Asia had a floor-length dress on to start but she wanted something that was a little more mobile. It was still in white, but she chose something shorter and some shoes that were more suitable for the dance floor. Maciek also had on some dark jeans and a polo shirt. It might seem odd to dress this way for a wedding but when the first song started playing, it became obvious to everyone why they chose wisely.
The song that played was from Dirty Dancing, “Time of My Life.” They were at the center of the floor when they started but before long, they were bringing that iconic movie scene to life. They were smiling from ear to ear and everyone in the room who was familiar with Dirty Dancing was smiling as well.
Maciek had the dance under control but Asia was also amazing the audience with her rhythm and dance moves. When the song came to an end, more people came out onto the dance floor. It was then that they did the classic move, he held her up above his head in a way that would have made Patrick Swayze proud. Finally, the guests were invited out onto the floor and everyone was having a great time.
Sometimes you just need to give up the fancy clothing and do something a little out of the ordinary. This married couple showed that the real focus of their marriage is each other and not on the formalities of the ceremony.
