Young Boy Asked Teacher If It Was OK To Be Hit By A Belt Before He Was Tortured To Death

There are far too many times when a young child suffers untold horrors at the hands of those who are supposed to love and care for them. They are the innocent parties in situations that they should never have to face. When we hear about these situations, our hearts ache for the child and we want nothing more than to see justice served. That is what happened in the case of Gabriel Fernandez, a young child who suffered horrific abuse at the hands of his mother and her boyfriend. In the end, he died as a result of their abuse and left the world mourning the loss.

This young child died in 2013 but his memory did not fade off into history. They even have a Netflix documentary associated with what happened to the child, ‘The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez’. It looks into the case and in an interview with his teacher, you learn some things that were happening behind the scenes. He had confided in his teacher prior to dying and revealed some issues that raised plenty of alarms. It included asking her if it was normal for mothers to his their kids and when she asked, he took it further and asked if it was normal to get struck with a belt buckle. He also asked her if it was normal to bleed. At that point, she called the hotline for help.

Additional abuse came to light, such as hair being pulled out with bloody spots underneath and being shot in the face with a BB gun. He was off school for a long time and when he came back in, he had a scab on his forehead. It was in 2013 that paramedics arrived at the home and found the child with a cracked skull, broken ribs, and BB pellets under his skin. He was brain dead at the time and died 2 days later.

His monster mother pleaded guilty to first degree murder and will spend her life in prison. Her boyfriend was found guilty of first degree murder including intentional murder by torture. He was given the death penalty.
