Wonky Math Problem Stumps Parents and Exposes School’s Error. Can You Solve It?

Here is it again, in case you wanted to give it one more shot.

The correct answer is 42.5. I know that sounds crazy, but as it turns out, the wording in the problem was done incorrectly by the school district that created this problem. Here’s the math.

49 – 36 = 13
13 / 2 = 6.5
36 + 6.5 = 42.5
