Once You Camp In One Of These Wagons You Will Never Look At Tents The Same Way Again

I can remember going camping with my family when I was very young. We had a Winnebago, and we would go camping on the weekends to experience a little bit of family time and to allow my mother and father to get away from the hustle and bustle of their busy jobs. Those were great times, and some of the best memories that I have from my youth. It seems as if others are also interested in camping even today, but it is not quite what it used to be.

These days, something new has hit the scene that is known as glamping. It is a mix of words that basically means ‘glamorous camping’ and it is the newest thing in summer travel. It doesn’t matter whether you enjoy the great outdoors or not, you will be able to take part in this activity. One of the more interesting glamping activities that we have heard about recently is part pioneer and part posh. You can find it at the Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging. It is located near the National Park and it is based on the Oregon Trail, with two Conestoga wagon replicas making the accommodations.

There are plenty of modern amenities available inside of these wagons. It includes two sets of bunk beds and the king-size bed so it sleeps up to six people. The smaller wagon can fit up to four people with the king-size bed and a bunk bed. There are also restrooms and shower facilities available nearby.

There are a number of modern conveniences available in the wagons, including air conditioning and heat. You will find a microwave and refrigerator, so it isn’t exactly roughing it. A fire pit is located close to the wagon wheel so you can make some marshmallows. There is even a family-friendly petting farm on site, so you can get a little wildlife in the mix.

You can expect to spend $179 per night in the summer season. Yosemite Pines is also offering a buy one night get one-night free special. You have to call 209-962-7690 and use the code WAGONINTRO.

There are other ways to be a pioneer for a few nights as well. These include the Conestoga Rance in Utah and Capitol Reef Resort. They have other covered wagons available for your convenience.

It is also possible to explore the Oregon Trail through Nebraska and Wyoming. This includes some of the deep carved ruts made by the wagons at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park. You might also try the Oregon Trail Ruts State Historic Site & National Historic Landmark near Guernsey, Wyoming. Both are well worth the trip and you can get a modern hotel to sleep at night.

It is sure to be a great time for the entire family.
