Country Music Star Alan Jackson Celebrates 40 Years Of Marriage With His Wife Denise

In 1983, a young Alan Jackson started his career as a country music artist. And, over the course of numerous ups and downs that go hand-in-hand with a career in the music business, he’s had one person by his side through it all. Her name is Denise Jackson, and she’s Alan’s high school sweetheart and beloved wife. Way before Alan found stardom in the country music industry; he started dating Denise in high school. Interestingly, she even had the same last name before she married him. The two would get married in 1979. And Denise was also the main person who helped jumpstart Alan’s music career!

While she was hard at work as a flight attendant, Denise approached country singer Glen Campbell when she spotted him at an airport. She told him about her husband’s dream. Campbell would go on to help launch Alan’s now-legendary career, which began to take off right along with his family. 1990, both he and Denise would welcome a baby girl, Mattie, into the world. Then more ladies would enter Alan and Denise’s lives as they welcomed Ali in 1993 and Dani in 1997. And in 2004, Denise made a special appearance in a music video for Alan’s song titled “Remember When.”

During the song’s instrumental break, the video shows the two love birds slow-dancing and sharing a tender kiss. Images of the happy couple would play over screens in the background of the video. Is that not the sweetest thing? You can see the video below.

Alan notes that the song for the music video that she made her appearance was about Denise. He says the song is a look back on their life together and how they would look back one day and say to each other, “remember when?” With Alan being gone for long stretches on tour, Denise isn’t always able to be with him. However, she did have a chance to join her hubby on stage at a concert in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2007.

“I got another guest I want to introduce tonight, which I don’t get to do much,” he says. “My wife, Denise.”

Denise comes out on stage to join her husband, wrapping an arm around Alan and smiling. It’s so obvious that after all these years, these two are still very much in love with each other.
