Miley Cyrus Gives Breathtaking Tribute To Chris Cornell With Cover Of ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven’

It is always sad when somebody takes their own life. Sometimes, those individuals go without any real recognition but at other times, they may have touched so many other people in their lives that it has a profound effect on the hearts of thousands, if not many more. That was the case with Chris Cornell, a Seattle native that took his own life in 2017. He was a grunge and rock legend and was recently paid homage during a tribute concert.

The concert, I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Many famous rockers and grunge artists were there, including Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden. there were also others who put on performances, including Metallica, Foo Fighters, Adam Levine and Fiona Apple. There was one performance in particular, however, that shocked the audience. It was Miley Cyrus, who covered the song ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven’.

Cyrus was on point when she sang the song and had the following to say:

“Thank you everybody. I f*cking wanted to sing this song tonight.”

“We love you, Chris. Thank you for bringing us all together like you always have. It’s a f*cking honor. This was the f*cking best day.”

The evening was for the benefit of the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
