Many people have thought that talent runs in families. It is unsure whether there is a genetic tie or not and in some cases, it may be because of the exposure that they had to someone with excessive talent at a very young age. Then again, there are some individuals who just seem to have talent from the moment that they are born and they may share that talent with others in the family. That is the case with the sisters.
When you hear this all sister music group singing, you will have to admit that there may just be something to the genetic theory of talent. The group is called Cimorelli and if you haven’t had the opportunity to hear them before, you are in for a real treat. In this video, they are singing the song, “Mary Did You Know” and the Internet has fallen in love with their voices and the performance. Perhaps the best part about what they do is the fact that they are singing it a cappella. There is no doubt that musical talent is something that fills this family.
Music has the ability to make us feel warm from the inside out. We can listen to music at any time of year but there are many people who consider Christmas carols to be among their favorites.
More than likely, you have a favorite Christmas song of your own but Mary Did You Know is one that seems to be a favorite among many artists. The rendition performed by Cimorelli deserves a place at the top.
The six sisters in this group are between the ages of 19-29 and they live in Nashville, Tennessee. They grew up in Northern California and were taught how to sing and play the piano by their mother. Incidentally, there are also five brothers in the family.
When they first got their start, they were relatively small but then a YouTube video went viral. They continued to sing and eventually, signed a deal with a record label.
Since those early beginnings, they continue to create music that people love. The members of the group are Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, Lauren, and Dani and they run their own business.
If you look down through their YouTube channel you will see that they have covered many popular songs over the years. This includes Christmas songs, such as Oh Holy Night and Silent Night.
Their version of Mary Did You Know grew very quickly and is closing in on 1 million views on the YouTube channel. They have 5 million subscribers on that channel.
The six sisters start out in the forest and show their musical abilities from the very start.
They start singing: “Mary did you know, that your baby boy would one day walk on water?”
Another one of the sisters then sings: “Mary did you know, that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?”
Every note that they sing is beautiful separately but when combined, it takes on an entirely different feel.
People have been commenting on the video to let them know how much they love their music.
One person wrote:
“I have heard so many covers of this song but I never heard one like this. It’s just perfect in every way, every note, and the harmonies Omgosh the harmonies from the lowest to the highest is just stunning!”
A viewer named Olivia said:
“I had to get a blanket because my body was full of goosebumps! LOVED IT!❤️❤️❤️❤️”
