When a celebrity has an opportunity to visit the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, I’m sure that they are eager to accept the invitation. After all, it isn’t just about sitting in front of Jimmy Fallon and answering some unusual or perhaps uncomfortable questions, it’s also about the way that he will get you involved in the routine. At times, it may be something active that he has you do but at other times, it will happen right from the chair where you are sitting. That is what Ariana Grande experienced when Jimmy Fallon wanted to capitalize on her singing abilities and he got more than he expected.
One of the many skits that are available for the celebrity guests are The Wheel of Musical Impressions. Jimmy Fallon had learned about this young celebrity’s abilities when they played The Wheel of Musical Impressions. Now that she was on his show, he had the opportunity to get her to do one of her famous impressions and it was Celine Dion. I’ll be the first one to admit that this young girl has a lot of talent but to copy somebody else’s voice and style? That is going above and beyond! When he has her do it, however, she nails it big time and leaves him laughing.
As they go back and forth singing ‘Beauty and the Beast’, it is absolutely incredible to hear. I’m not sure who I was more impressed with, but I have to admit that this impersonation of Celine Dion is so close that if you close your eyes, you would swear it was her on the stage!
When somebody is talented, they are often able to take that talent in multiple directions. I think that is true of this talented young woman, and what she does on the stage that night with Jimmy Fallon is worth watching twice. Enjoy it below.
