Ed Sheeran Sounds Fantastic In This Live Performance Of ‘Shape Of You’

There have been many singers who have crossed our paths in recent years and we sometimes hear them performing many songs on the radio. In fact, it seems as if some popular singers just continue to crank out new songs one after the other and it’s almost as if you are hearing something new constantly. Many of these performers are those who tend to stick to the studio and they do so for a very specific reason. Their voice is enhanced through autotune and other types of electronic means. Yes, they sound good when you hear them playing but if you were to see them live, you would probably be highly disappointed.

Every once in a while, a performer comes around who sounds good in the studio but sounds even better when they are performing live on stage. That is the case with Ed Sheeran and when he was on the Honda Stage at the IHeartRadio Theater in New York, it was an absolute thrill for everybody in attendance. As he performed ‘Shape of You’, it just seemed to reinforce in our minds that he is a performer like no one else. He doesn’t need a lot of flashy stage lights or an entire team of people dancing around him, he just needs his guitar, his foot pedals and his voice.

As you watch the video of Ed Sheeran singing below, it will really show you that we have entered into the electronic age. It isn’t that his voice is being enhanced through electronics, it’s the fact that almost everyone in the audience is holding up a cell phone and shooting a video!

Performers will continue to thrill us on stage and some of them do a good job of entertaining us in so many different ways. Ed Sheeran is one of those individuals, but he is also ubertalented and has earned the respect of anyone who has been in an audience at his concerts.
