Kenny Loggins Stopped By For An Episode Of ‘Live From Daryl’s House’ To Do ‘Footloose’

If you are somebody that loves watching movies, then there is something behind the scenes that often makes or breaks a movie, depending upon what happens. It isn’t the actors and it isn’t the script that can sometimes make a difference, although they are important to consider. What I’m talking about is the music, and without the music driving the movie, it just wouldn’t be the same. Just think about watching Star Wars without the music or Indiana Jones. Those are just a few of the examples and in some cases, music is what defines the movie from the very start. That was the case with Footloose.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve ever seen the movie or not, you likely know the song and you realize that it is one of those musical masterpieces that just makes you want to get up and dance. It was performed by Kenny Loggins and the driving beat of the song, which is also very upbeat, is amazing to hear but it’s even more interesting to watch. Fortunately, you do have the opportunity to watch it because Kenny Loggins showed up with “Live from Daryl’s House” to perform ‘Footloose’ along with his band. I think that everybody in the studio that day was absolutely amazed with what they were able to do and you will be amazed with how they still put so much heart into the song.

Footloose was one of those movies that came out in the ‘80s and it just seemed to hit all of the high spots when it came to what we love about the cinema. A bunch of rebellious teenagers were forbidden to dance but, thanks to a mysterious person that came into town, they pulled together and had a dance after all.

In fact, if you haven’t seen the movie before, you owe it to yourself to watch it. If you have seen the movie, even many times, you also owe it to yourself to watch it again. For now, you can enjoy this epic jam session in the following video.
