It doesn’t matter who we are, we all have heroes in life. Some of them may have been our heroes for many years, and they are often attached to comic books, music and the movies. Of course, we probably have heroes within our own circle of family and friends as well but we could also name a few heroes with celebrity status. That is the case with Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in the sequel trilogy of Star Wars. In order to show people how happy they were that they were following the social distancing guidelines and staying home, she decided to go on twitter and share something that all children will love.
Any fan of Daisy Ridley would be happy to hear her reading a book, but children are absolutely thrilled when she reads a book on BB-8 on twitter. It was her way of celebrating her 28th birthday, and the video, which was done for Disney, shared a nice reading session for anyone who was willing to tune in. This wasn’t only something that children were able to enjoy, I’m sure that there were many adults who are Star Wars fans and were more than happy to watch it for themselves.
In the book, Rey transforms herself into the Star Wars character during her reading, which follows the events after BB-8 is separated from Poe Dameron during the events of The Force Awakens. It’s almost as if she has a unique perspective and she shares it with anyone who is listening.
She says: “Thank you to everyone staying at home and thank you to everyone out on the frontlines helping those in need. Please accept my tiny offering of gratitude in the form of storytelling.” We would like to thank her as well.
