There are certain moments that we will always remember in our lifetime. For the most part, they tend to be moments that define us in some way or another, such as the day we got married or perhaps the birth of our first child. There are also special memories that we will have and we tend to carry them with us, just because it was a beautiful snapshot of something that we truly appreciated. I’m sure that is how many of the people who were in attendance at a concert in New York about a decade ago feel. It was when the Goo Goo Dolls were touring in the area, and they were performing what is perhaps their most famous song, Iris.
Anytime we had the opportunity to see this band perform that particular song would be memorable but for these concertgoers, it was perhaps most memorable because it was pouring down rain at the outside venue where the concert was taking place. Even though they may have been soaked to the bone, it surely didn’t seem to dampen their appreciation for what this band was doing for them. They were waving their arms in the air, singing along and enjoying every single moment of the concert. I’m sure that any of us who would’ve been there would have felt much the same way. It’s incredible to see on video as well.
Even though it was raining cats and dogs at this concert, they were able to use equipment that allowed them to continue on with the concert without being in danger of electrocution.
I’m sure that there were some people who went home with the sniffles after being out in this concert but I’m also sure that they would admit it was well worth it. Today, you get to enjoy it while you are high and dry through the following online video.
