Very few of us have the talent available that would allow us to get up in front of an audience of hundreds of people and entertain them. Of course, we may be able to sing or dance, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that we can take things to that next level. There are some people, however, who not only have that ability, they have it in great measure. That includes an 11-year-old girl named Ansley Burns, who was able to take her talent and stand in front of the judges for an audition on America’s Got Talent. When she started singing, I think everybody in the audience was actually overtaken with the power of her voice. Everybody, that is, except Simon Cowell.
Can you imagine how much pressure you would be under if you had to get up in front of an audience of hundreds of people and sing? Even if you had the ability to sing beautifully, you would still be nervous. It got even worse, however, when Simon stopped this young girl right in the middle of her performance and said that the music wasn’t right for her. He then poured even more pressure on her when he told her that she needed to sing a cappella. After regaining her composure for a few minutes, the little girl started to sing and the audience was on their feet within seconds. It turns out, it was absolutely the right choice for her!
When we watch shows, such as America’s Got Talent, it introduces us to people who have the abilities that most of us do not have. If it weren’t for those talent shows, they may never have had the opportunity to perform for such a large audience but they definitely get their five minutes of fame.
Some of these performers do more than just get five minutes of fame, they actually take that fame to the next level and continue to perform. It’s amazing to see and if you have talent, you might just want to pursue it in this way.
