Def Leppard Gives Us An Amazing Look Behind The Scenes With An Intimate Performance Of ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’

There have been many interesting rock bands that have passed our way over the years and sometimes, their music continues to play on the radio many years after they have disbanded. Of course, not all of the old rock bands have gone away and some of them continue to stay together, to put out new music and even to tour for a worldwide audience. That includes Def Leppard, which many of you may remember as being a hair band from the 1980s. Their music was so well known that it seemed as if you were hearing it on the radio continually and some of it continues to play, decades after it was first released.

Def Leppard had the opportunity to visit Howard Stern, and it was a rather interesting interview. Of course, Howard Stern always seems to have a way of bringing the best out of any rock band that visits him. They also started talking about one of their more famous songs, “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, talking about how they actually wrote the song just before the album was released. It was that album that truly launched their career into superstardom, and they haven’t looked back since that time. They were well known before then, thanks to their Pyromania album, but it seems as if everybody knew the new song that they had written.

After they talked about the song a little while with Howard Stern, he asked them if they would be willing to play it. They then launched into the song, sitting on stools and playing their instruments as if they had been playing it all along. They did such an amazing job and it was great to hear them singing in this way.

When rock bands get older, they sometimes tend to lose their edge but that isn’t the case with Def Leppard. They may have been singing in the studio alongside Howard Stern but they still sounded just as good as what we remember from decades ago.
