Some musicians tend to come and go very quickly. We might remember some of the music that they played but as far as the musician themselves is concerned, they seem to disappear from history when they fade from the scene. Other musicians, however, are not only there for the long haul, they become such a part of our society that when they pass away, the popularity just grows even further. That is the case with Kenny Rogers.
Kenny Rogers is debatably one of the greatest country music singers of all time. He is responsible for making the song, “The Gambler” famous but he has many other songs, including some duets that he sang with Dolly Parton. As it turns out, he isn’t just a country music singer but he is also a family man. Many people don’t know this, but Kenny Rogers is the father to twin sons and he felt that family was the most important thing to him. He was happy to spend time together with his wife, Wanda and his children, Justin, Jordan, and Christopher. It seems as if there were also times that his private life became public in the best way.
When Kenny Rogers was singing at the North Georgia state fair, he was singing a song to his twin sons, Jordan and Justin. The song, “To Me” is perhaps one of the more recognizable songs that he would perform. The onstage version was amazing and even though he had a few years on him, Kenny Rogers still sounded the same as what he did when he was a younger man. It was at that point, however, that he surprised the crowd and invited his children out on the stage.
After singing a song for the crowd, Justin and Jordan came out on the stage, grabbed the microphones, and started entertaining the audience. They didn’t do it with the song at first but rather, they gave a shout out to some of their friends and cousins. One of them even talked about how they had lost a baseball game that day! They then sang a song for the crowd and gave us all a memory. You can hear it in the video below.
