Sylvester Stallone Speaks Of His Greatest Pain – Losing A Child

It doesn’t matter who we are, we are going to face some sadness in life. Some sadness is going to be here and gone before we even know that it started in the first place. At other times, however, something profound can happen and it may affect us now and for many years to come. It could take on any different form but perhaps the most devastating thing that can happen to any person is to lose a child in death. If you have the opportunity to speak to a parent who suffered this loss, they will tell you that it is the worst day you could possibly have in life. Sylvester Stallone is one of those individuals.

More than likely, you know Sylvester Stallone because of one of his movies. It doesn’t matter if you are thinking back as far as Rambo or to one of his newer shows, he always entertains the audience. Of course, there are people who loves Sylvester Stallone and those who don’t necessarily want to follow his career, but behind all of the makeup and movie cameras was a real-life story that was unfolding. His eldest son, Sage, was the first child born to he and his wife, Sasha. Unfortunately, Sage had arteriosclerosis and died at the age of 36 from a heart attack. Sylvester Stallone was devastated and asked people to give him privacy and solitude while he grieved.

He said: “when a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented sons memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha.” You can feel the pain that he experienced in those words.

Sylvester Stallone admits that they will be feeling the loss for the rest of their lives. It can be difficult when you are a celebrity and it seems as if everybody minds your business. We just hope that Sylvester Stallone gets the solitude he desires and although the grieving will never go away, we hope he has peace.
