You Can Only Spot What’s Wrong with This Picture if You’re Super Observant

Did you love to read when you were a kid? If you were enrolled in public schools in the U.S. and learned to love books, there’s a good chance that you were at one point exposed to a magazine called Highlights for Children, which was first published in 1946. The magazine was started by a husband and wife team in Pennsylvania named Gary and Caroline Myers. Gary and Caroline both worked for another children’s publishing company and they got the idea for a new kind of magazine for kids. The tagline of Highlights is “Fun with a Purpose,” and the organization now owns several publishing companies and coordinates writers’ organizations.

The magazine is still published today and they have a robust website as well. In every edition of the magazine, there are always tons of puzzles. In addition to search-a-word puzzles, odd-one-out puzzles, and hidden-object puzzles, there’s another type of puzzle that they do that is a lot of fun for kids of all ages. In these puzzles, you have to spot what’s wrong with an image. The truth is, you have to really use your noggin to figure them out. In the two images below, you’re tasked with figuring out the mistakes in the pictures.
