I think that most of us would agree that we want to do what we can for the little critters we come across on a day-to-day basis. This extends far beyond the dogs or cats that we may have as part of our family, we want to make sure that all animals are safe and sound. After all, animals are awesome and the more we get to know about them, the more we appreciate just how unique and beautiful they are. At the same time, however, there are times when we hear something about animals that really takes our appreciation of them to the next level. That is sure to be how you feel when you hear this story.
No doubt, most of us appreciate the fact that we all have something that means something to us. It could be an object that we have had in our life for a very long time or perhaps, even since we were a child. You might be surprised with how many adults still have the stuffed animal that they carried around when they were little. It seems as if animals have a love of stuffed animals as well, and that is true of at least one stray dog in North Carolina. It seems as if he was sneaking into a Dollar General store and trying to steal a purple unicorn stuffed animal. He was successful many times, but then store security got involved.
When the animal control services in the County were called, they admitted that it was one of the strangest cases they had ever been on. When the officer arrived on the scene to get the dog, she saw how much the unicorn meant to the stray so she shelled out $10 to buy the stuffed animal for him.
The dog was brought into animal services and kept in holding. They were looking for the owner but weren’t able to find anyone to claim the pooch. In the end, the officers named the dog after a Disney character, Sisu, and put him up for adoption. Of course, he may have a difficult time finding a home after his checkered past, but at least he has a new toy to enjoy.
