Hosting someone else’s child in your home is a big responsibility. And most parents who entertain their children’s friends treat those children as though they are their own.
Inherent within that parent’s responsibility to someone else’s child comes the common courtesy to learn a bit about the child and their family.
Many moms might talk to other parents about things like allergies and what they can and cannot eat or drink. But, while not all parents take that extra step, very few actively undermine another family’s dietary decisions.

A mom recently admitted to secretly feeding her daughter’s best friend fried meat, knowing full well that the child and her family are vegans.
Like millions of families, the little girl’s family did not believe in consuming meat products and by-products, sticking mainly to fruits, vegetables, and other vegan-friendly foods.

Soon, the message board was flooded with critical comments, calling the mom’s behavior disrespectful and outrageous.

Folks were fuming after reading her post, telling the mom that what she did was unjustified and intrusive. They also took issue with the fact that she admits to doing this behind the parent’s backs.

They said that the little girl’s parents entrusted their child to her care, and she betrayed that trust.

However, the mom believed her actions were perfectly reasonable, adding that her 12-year-old daughter and her best friend are incredibly close and consider the girl family.

The mom says the little girl often stays at her home for sleepovers, and that’s when she ensures that she makes lots of meat-based meals to feed her.
She says the child enjoys her meaty meals. In fact, she always politely requests seconds. The mom says that she simply cannot refuse the child’s requests.
Nevertheless, the mom also believes that she’s not purposely undermining the child’s parents. However, she did concede that there are a lot of folks who would take offense to what she’s doing.

However, she made no indication that she’d ever tried to discuss this matter with the child’s parents about the issue.
