We all can find ourselves going through life on auto-pilot to make it through the day. Typically, there’s nothing wrong with this, especially if our day involves the same old routine. But, what happens when we run into a problem that requires us to switch off auto-pilot and really engage our brains?

You see, solving problems involves parts of our brains that use logic. You should keep in mind that you’re not trying to count all the individual pieces. Instead, you have to figure out just how many whole watermelons you can make out of all the parts.
