Life can be difficult and I don’t believe anybody would deny that fact. We often are able to skate through but sometimes, something happens that really impacts us in a way we couldn’t imagine.
That’s what happened to Angie Tyma. She had been living in a home for decades but unfortunately, it went into foreclosure and she was evicted. Suddenly, she was without a home after living there for 35 years.
She had lived in the home with her husband but he had died some years ago. She then sold the house to a friend and continued to live in it with her two dogs.
An investment company eventually purchased the home because the current owner was unable to pay the mortgage. They bought the home at auction and told her she had to leave.
At first, she didn’t think that it was all that bad but when a company representative came around, he explained to her that she had to move into a motel and they carried out her belongings.
The neighbors saw what was going on and they are familiar with Tyma. That is when they decided they would lend a helping hand. That helping hand came from a neighbor named Danielle Calder.
She contacted the investment company and put $167,500 out to buy back the home. She decided it was only right to allow the aging widow to live out her years at a reasonable price.
Tyma had a lot of ties to that particular home. Her husband’s ashes had been scattered around the house and three of her dogs were buried in the backyard. She just had a difficult time accepting that she would not be part of that home anymore.
As far as the neighbor who purchased the home is concerned, she was more than happy to hand over the keys on Tyma’s 89th birthday. She said: “The last thᎥng I needed was another house, but I really wanted to keep her Ꭵn the neᎥghborhood. Everybody wanted to keep her Ꭵn the neᎥghborhood.”
She also spoke about the kindness of the woman and how she would even bake cakes for her birthday. When she came home this time, however, there were many neighbors who were out and happy that she was back to stay.
