Before first responders arrived at the scene, the second stories of the two apartments were already engulfed in flames.

First responders learned that a six and 2-year old were still trapped in the building.

As a police officer rushed to the back of the burning building, he found the room where the two kids were trapped and threw rocks at the window until he shattered the glass. That’s when a good Samaritan came rushing to the scene to assist him.

KPNX reports [1] after the man saw the fire and smoke, he made his way toward the complex to try and help any way he could.

The officer’s body camera shows the officer asking the man if he had a ladder, to which the stranger replied, “no.”

But, it turns out he didn’t need one because with a single bound, the hero jumped over the fence between them and the apartment, and then within seconds, he managed to jump onto a shed just below a window. The man then started tearing out the window frame of the window the officer broke, using his bare hands.

While voices were yelling from below, beckoning the children to come toward the window, the man, who many refer to as  “Spider-Man,” effortlessly lept up to the window.

The heroic stranger quickly located the 2-year-old, who was only wearing a diaper and pulled the little girl through the broken window, handing her to first responders below. He next went further into the apartment, locating the 6-year-old and the family dog, and then handed them to first responders.

Both children were rushed to the hospital due to his agility and quick actions but only endured minor injuries.
