Some people are lucky enough to only need to find love once in their lifetime. However, finding love can mean an exhaustive series of stops and starts for most of us. The truth is there are not as many relationships that stand the test of time, which isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes people can just be incompatible. However, for Desiree White, age 32, this thought was far from her mind the day she married her first husband. Little did the bride know she was meant to be with Bryant, the groom’s best man. However, things began to change after Bryant delivered a heartfelt speech in which he expressed his undying love for her while toasting the couple’s nuptials.
How Bryant Met Desiree

Bryant remembers meeting Desire for the first time and falling in love with her. He says he fell head over heels for her and just felt that they would be together one day. Bryant thought Desiree was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen and said as much at his best friend’s wedding to her!
During his speech, he also remarked on her kindness and how he’d never met anyone like her. Of course, he learned quickly after they first met that she had a boyfriend, and that’s when he decided to put his plan into action.
After meeting her now-ex-husband, whose identity was not revealed, the two men became the best of friends.
At the wedding, both Desiree and the groom sat there in amazement as Bryant proceeded to pour his heart out to the couple and the 200 guests in attendance.
“[Bryant] then just stated, ‘Love you both — congrats.’” “It stopped there,” she claimed, saying that her ears had “turned scarlet” with shame as a result of his revelation. “Everyone was kind of laughing — and then everything became silent,” White recalled, recalling a feeling of uneasiness that overtook the room. As for Desiree said she was initially “perplexed” by Bryant’s sudden passionate display, as they’d had a very platonic friendship over the years.
She remembers meeting Bryant in class at high school. She had a boyfriend and did not talk to anyone else during that time.
The teen recognized her boyfriend as someone who shared the same lunch period as he after Desiree showed him a picture. Soon, the three would forge a very close friendship.
The Friendship

Bryant and Desiree’s ex spent a lot of time together. In fact, Desire recalls that “they did everything together.” But, she also noted that at the time, she felt no romantic feelings toward Bryant while she was with her ex-husband.
She admits that she used to set Bryant up with other women on dates. She and her ex even went on double dates with Bryant and his date from time to time. Today, she always tells folks that Bryant was not someone she would have dated then. She says that he had a lot of growing up to do and never really saw him as more than a friend for many years.

But, Desiree clearly remembers Bryant’s expression of love and adoration when he first saw her in her bridal gown the morning she was to marry her first husband.
She says she strolled into the living room right after she finished getting dressed, with her bridal gown on, and her hair and makeup were done to perfection. Bryant walked into her parents’ house, stopped in his tracks, and gazed at her. He paid her a compliment, but she had never noticed him look at her that way before.
However, despite his admiring stare, Desire went on to marry his best friend. Bryant, for his part, recalls getting very drunk before openly spilling his long-held secret at their wedding.
But, his expressions of love did not stop with his speech. Later that night, Desiree danced with Bryant, at which time he asked her point-blank, “Why not give me a chance?” He promised then and there to always look after her.
Desiree remembers when she asked what he meant by what he told her, and he just replied, “nothing.”
He hedged, saying he simply adored her and the groom, and became quiet for the rest of the evening.
After a day filled with celebrations, a confused Desiree remembers wishing she’d misinterpreted Bryant’s clumsy declaration of love and figured she would just sweep what he said under the carpet — perhaps blaming it on the alcohol.
Desiree Has a Revelation

But, after a year, her marriage began falling apart after she says her husband started living “a very surprising way of life.” As their marriage was headed toward a conclusion, Desiree remembered Bryant’s words.
The trio still frequently hung out together, and he was even there for her during the couple’s divorce.
Then one day, he kissed her — and she kissed him back.

Before long, Bryant and Desiree would become a couple and have a child together. Now, after a decade of marriage, they have four children, and Desiree says she loves every minute of her life with Bryant.
“We like becoming parents. Desiree, who is twenty years old, never imagined herself as a mother of four children. “She couldn’t have imagined how my life would be now.”
