Johnny Depp Entertains Children In the UK with His Willy Wonka Impression While Enjoying Curry Night

Johnny Depp is in the news again after he was seen hanging out with a few of his fans in the UK.

Over the last week, the Pirates of the Caribbean star has been touring England with his friend Jeff Beck after announcing that he’d won his multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Most recently, the star was seen entertaining children at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham, where he and about 20 of his closest friends enjoyed an expensive lavish meal[2] that is said to have totaled around $60,000!

Depp and Beck rented out Varanasi restaurant on June 5, where staff closed the dining area to ensure Depp wasn’t “bothered” by other customers, reports MailOnline[2].

However, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star was more than happy to greet and chat with staff members and their families, including a few lucky kids.

In a clip that’s gone viral on social media, the actor is seen spending down to hugging a little girl while chatting with her. He even slipped into one of his characters to recite one of his many well-known catchphrases as he used his Willy Wonka voice.

Restaurant operations director Mohammed Hussain said the actor met with all three of his daughters and that the girls asked him to “give them a few one-liners from his movies.”

“He did ‘you’re weird’ from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” said Hussain, adding: “He was really good with the children, but there was about 60 of us there and he didn’t leave one person without hugging or kissing them, or shaking their hand.”

Hussain also shared how Depp, Beck, and company racked up a huge five-figure bill with their food and drinks orders. Depp, meanwhile, enjoyed so much food he had to bring some home with him.

“Johnny Depp and his team were absolutely delighted with the food that we served them and enjoyed our company to the point that he took a takeaway back to the hotel room,” Hussain said.
