We could probably say that we have a lot of friends in our life but are they truly friends? If you stop to think about it, you likely have a lot of acquaintances and you may have some people that you are comfortable hanging out with but when it comes to true friends, they are typically few and far between. After all, friends are of a particular caliber and you can trust them with anything, knowing that they would never turn their back on you, regardless of what happened.
Although we may have many different types of relationships in our life, those friends are the ones that we cherish the most. I’m sure that you would agree, however, that there is no friendship that is quite as loyal and loving as the friendship that we have with our dog. It just seems as if they are there for us 100% of the time and even if we aren’t around them, they can put a smile on our face by just thinking about them. Let’s face it, there is nothing like coming home to your beloved dog after a long, difficult day at work.
We also need to consider one other factor that makes dogs really special. It’s the fact that they are totally goofy! If they were our human friends, they would probably be the ones that would send us funny text messages in the middle of the night.
