Drowning Stag Is Slowly Dying In A Frozen Lake Until Help Comes From An Unlikely Source

When you look out over the frozen fields, perhaps from thousands of miles away in Internet pictures, it all looks so serene and beautiful. If you live in among the ice, however, you realize that it can be dangerous and may even be a death trap. It doesn’t matter if it is trying to drive on slippery roads, falling down on an icy sidewalk or plunging through the ice into a lake, we all need to display a little bit more caution when the winter arrives.

It seems as if a red deer found itself in such an unfortunate situation. It happened in Siberia when the deer fell into a frozen river. Some local hunters managed to see the creature struggling in the ice cold water, and they decided to pull together to help. It may seem unusual that deer hunters would help an animal in the wild, but they don’t just hunt animals to be cruel. These hunters were obviously good men with good hearts.

The scene took place on a frozen river, Barguzin near Ulan-Ude in eastern Siberia, Russia. There were four men who went through a lot of trouble to cut a path in the ice and pull the deer from the freezing cold water. It took over four hours to accomplish this feat in freezing cold temperatures.

The man who filmed the encounter, Aleksej Baluev can be heard on the video saying, ‘We need to get it away from the cold’. The rescue team started working on the deer to help improve circulation and they had to keep the deer warm so that they could get it out of the water and put it in front of a fire.

It took some time but they were eventually able to get the deer from the water and they brought it to a local garage to get warm. They then found a piece of lard and some vodka to warm it up on the inside.

When the deer was able to get back on his feet, they took it back to the forest and it ran back into the wilderness. It’s amazing that these volunteers were there to help and they really did a fantastic job.
