The world that we live in has a lot to offer and if you just take the time to look around at what is in your neck of the woods as well as what may be far away, it helps you to appreciate the earth just a little bit more. Perhaps one of the things that amazes more people than any other are the animals that we share our world with. Some of them are only found in small pockets here or there but others can be found in most areas. In either case, however, they teach us something about the place that we call home.
At times, we may see animals that are more beautiful than what we could’ve ever hoped. That is the case with a rare horse breed from Turkmenistan, known as the Akhal-Teke. You may have seen horses before but until you have seen one of these rare beauties, you are missing out on something amazing. Between the majestic size of the animal and their beautiful coats, it is something that is rarely ever seen in other parts of the animal kingdom.
Although every horse in the world offers a lot of majesty and beauty, there is one that is truly amazing. They are the Akhal-Teke from Turkmenistan and they are known for their metallic-looking shining blonde coat.
In China, they are known as ‘horses from heaven’ and they are exceptionally rare. In fact, there are only about 1,250 of these horses in the entire world.
The look of the horses’ hairs have to do with the proteins within them. The proteins are arranged in a way that the light strikes them and the hair reflects the light in a similar way to metal.
The horses that you see in these pictures are absolutely incredible but to see one in real life is more than most of us could hope for.
