Denzel Washington is without question one of the greatest actors who ever lived. Yet, for all his success, fortune, and fame, Denzel strives every day to remain humble and focus on his family. But, his priority is serving God.
Many may not know this, but Denzel’s father was a pastor and his mother a gospel singer. It’s clear that their influence has played an enormous role in his life from day one.

When Denzel was a young man, before getting into acting, he once encountered a woman at his mom’s beauty parlor who changed his life forever.

The woman had a reputation for being a prophetess in his family’s church. Shen she saw him, she asked for a piece of paper. Once the young man handed it to her, the woman wrote the word “Prophecy” at the top before writing out the future she saw in store for him. Denzel says he carries that piece of paper with him as a reminder.
Ever since that day, Denzel says his life has followed her prophecy. And today, he continues to spread the message about the importance of serving God and keeping him central in all that you do. He also speaks out about helping others in need, as Jesus did.

During a recent men’s conference held at the First Baptist Orlando Church in Florida, Denzel shared a powerful message God gave him, telling the actor what he should be doing at this point in his life.
Denzel’s advice is genuine as he lives by example, serving God and remaining humble.

He also offers wise advice to those who seek success. He tells them to pray, listen, and look around — actively seek sound advice while striving to help others whenever possible.
The actor also warned folks about the ugly side of fame and how it can fuel the intoxicating practice of “love of self” over God that fuels a person’s desires.
Denzel is certainly a wise and gifted person who seeks to share his knowledge with others to help improve their lives.
