Totally Relatable Will Smith Confesses He’s ‘In the Worst Shape’ of His Life

Several of us have gained a little weight over the last year. We’ve spent more time indoors, for the most part, and if we were going to the gym prior to 2020, that didn’t last long into the year. And we all know why. As we sat at home for months on end, we ate more, either out of boredom or for comfort food. Apparently, it’s not just us common folks who have struggled with staying fit during a crazy year. Legendary actor Will Smith recently posted to Instagram that he is in “the worst shape of my life.” His post has gotten a lot of accolades from people all over the world.

After all, if Will Smith is going to keep it real (as he said) about his weight struggles, there’s hope for the rest of us, too. You don’t often see megastars being vulnerable on social media, as was evidenced when one of the Kardashian sisters freaked out when her grandmother shared an un-Photoshopped image of her a couple of months ago. Celebs usually want to present only their best sides to the world, and it’s risky to show vulnerability. However, maybe because Will Smith is a man, he can get away with it easier. Society is super hard on women, and that’s been that way for a long time.

Will Smith is 52 now, and he’s still in better shape than the average guy. Several of the comments are praising him for rocking the “dad bod” and taking it to a new level. Will actually looks great, in my opinion, and he looks healthy and happy, more than anything else. We’re all, just trying our best to get through a difficult period in history, and Will says he’s going to get in the best shape of his life, now. He was even brave enough to share a cringeworthy video of himself that showed his gut and he’s wearing a pair of short shorts (or underwear).

In that video, he captioned it by saying that he “loves this body,” but now he wants to get back to feeling great, so he’s going to get into the “best shape of my life.” He’s even teaming up with YouTube to get his wellness and health back on track, he says. I guess we’ll see soon what that means. Here’s a news video about this story.
