When somebody mentions a singer, you probably instantly associate that with one of the songs that they performed. For example, if I were to mention Freddie Mercury or Queen, you would probably think about ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. It certainly is one of their most popular songs and we continue to hear it played on the radio, many decades after it was first performed. When you stop to think about the band, however, you begin to recognize that there are many different songs that they performed over the years and each of them offer something special. The same is also true of other singers, including Adele.
Most people would instantly think of ‘Hello’ when they think of Adele and it was her most popular song of all time. Ask any Adele fan and they will tell you, however, it is not the only song that she has ever performed. In fact, her music really spans quite a few different songs and it doesn’t matter which one she is singing, she is going to pour her entire being into the performance. That is why she is so amazing to see in concert and at the Brit awards in 2012, she was able to sing the song that brought the audience to their feet. It was ‘Rolling in the Deep’, and it’s just another example of how amazing this woman is. Not only can she write phenomenal music, she performs it in a way that is unmistakably fantastic.
Many bands will try to distract you to a certain extent when they are performing live in concert. They have a lot of different things that are taking place on the stage around them and sometimes, it’s more about the performance than it is about the music. Adele tends to blend things together nicely, however, and she doesn’t hide the music, she lives it.
